How to install the rear camera for a car? [www.cardvd-player.net]

All of the Car DVD player support the rear camera input and support automatically rear view when the car turn to reverse, but how can we make it?Here is the details:

Firt, decide where you want to install therear-view camera. Most people put them in the plastic bumper so they don’t have to drill into the car’s sheet metal. But for some special rear camera, it is no need to drill a hole of the bumper, because they are design for the special car, it fit to the back light exactlly, for example, the Rear camera Suzuki Swift CM036, the Rear camera Toyota Corolla CM028,it will be very good look and hiden as original after installation. But if you can not confirm which special camera to install to your car,it is no problem, just use an universal model like rear camera cm110 orCar Rear Camera License plate cm550 will be ok.

Second, drill a hole for the camera. Check the installation instructions to see what size drill bit to use. Don’t make the hole too large or the camera will fall out.

Place the camera in the hole using the rubber grommet supplied with the camera. Make sure the camera and grommet are tight.

Attach the camera’s power wire to the backup-light power wire on your car. You’ll have to splice the wires together. Use wire cutters to cut the wires, leaving enough excess wire to reconnect. Strip the ends of the wire to expose the bare wire using wire strippers. Splice the wires together using a two-into-one connector. This will give the rear-view camera power when you put the car in reverse.Check this photos carefully if you are not sure:

between Car DVD player and camera:
“video output” from camera connect to “camera in” of the car dvd player

between car dvd player and car
“Back control wire” from car dvd player connect to the “switch wire of the back lamp” of the car

between rear camera and car
“power cable” (red) from camera connect to the “power cable of the back lamp” of the car
“GND”(black) wire from camera connect to the “GND” wire of the back lamp of the car

Route the camera’s output wire to the rear-view monitor and connect the wire to the monitor’s input. For installation of the monitor, see the monitor’s installation instructions.

Reconnect the battery, start the car and put the car in reverse. The rear-view monitor should turn on and give you a view of what’s behind you.
