Spy pictures reveal new model gets traditional Range Rover shape with a few Evoque-inspired touches

The new Range Rover is shaping up and while it does get a few Evoque-style touches like the grille and headlights, the profile is traditionally Range Rover.
The new flagship will shed around 500kg thanks to a new aluminium chassis, while a 320bhp 4.4-litre diesel engine and tweaked eight-speed automatic gearbox with stop-start will see its fuel consumption improve substantially to a best of 35mpg and 180g/km.
A petrol 5.0-litre V8 in both naturally aspirated and supercharged forms will make up the traditional power options, while a hybrid model is also rumoured to feature.
Space in the back seats of the current car has attracted criticism in the past and with emerging markets like China and the Middle East placing a huge emphasis on this, Land Rover will be making the car longer for more rear legroom.
The new Range Rover will be revealed later this year. Prices are likely to increase, meaning the range will start from around £70,000.
