Chevy Malibu emergency refresh to include roomier rear seats, Impala styling tweaks [cardvd-player.net]

The Chevrolet Malibu is unable to sell to General Motors would pace, pushing the car to make the decision to upgrade the midsize sedan, just a year after a complete overhaul. According to a report in Newsday, the main consumers defects around the center of the hot car style and lack of space in the back seat.
Of course, style is subjective, but the report shows GM plans to bring the Malibu style more in line with its larger Impala sedan, to make changes mostly for the front panel. As for the room backseat, vai, it is interesting to note that the 2013 Malibu actually has less legroom than the old model 2012; 36.9 inches versus 37.6. Shoulders and hips, however, increased from two to three centimeters, respectively, with the redesign.
In any case, without major structural changes, there is no way the Malibu arrives in his rear legroom defined by these so-called midsize sedans such as the Honda Accord (38.5 inches) and Volkswagen Passat (39, 1) due the fact that this is a car company to be global and not one specific to the U.S. market. And, considering the existence of imminent Impala 2014, do not expect major structural changes to affect the Malibu offers interior.
It’s a bit unusual for an automaker to make these significant changes to a car after only one year of production. But with all the hype surrounding the upgrade of emergency Honda Civic 2013, that sort of thing may become more common going forward.
