GM confirms discontinued Saturn Outlook parts used in refreshed GMC Acadia [cardvd-player.net]

Yesterday, GM Car and Driver in a blog called snarky reuse parts of the discontinued Saturn Outlook, GMC Acadia update. GM did not confirm the suspected C / D’s at the time, but after we called and asked politely, GMC PR has to respond to our request.

Spokesman Joe LaMuraglia 2013 Acadia tailgate glass, spoiler, rear panel and back are made of glass around the Outlook. The gate is also the same as that of Saturn, but that’s always the case, as the old Acadia uses the same piece.

Now, before you rush to judgment here, we recommend a good hard look at the new Acadia and tell us, do not you think it looks better than the previous model. We always thought that the Saturn Outlook was the appeal of the brothers that we had no problems with GM parts sharing strategy, as all these parts are in the back of the vehicle, instead of advancing the important “face”.

Given that GM probably still produce parts for thousands of Outlook on the way, this is actually a really good move. Waste of Acadia updated when appropriate alternative there is the kind of smart move we hope to do more GM.
